Signs of Skin Old

Almost everyone wants facial skin soft, smooth, and healthy. Not only women, men also would want healthy skin despite his age has got older. Aging or changes in the skin is something that is common to all people as a sign of age, including wrinkles or sagging skin.

Although skin has many layers, but generally divided into three layers of skin, including:

The outer part (epidermis) contains skin cells, pigment
The middle part (dermis) contains blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles and oil glands. The dermis provides nutrients to the epidermis.
The inner layer under the dermis (the subcutaneous layer) contains sweat glands, some hair follicles, blood vessels, and fat.

Moreover, each layer also contains connective tissue with collagen fibers which serves to make the skin more supple and elastic.

In addition due to aging, aging of the skin can be caused by environmental factors, genetics, nutrition, as well as some other factors. However, the biggest factor is the change in skin exposure to sunlight.

At the age, the epidermal layer will be thinned and the number of melanocytes (pigment cells) would be decreased. As a result, it can be observed changes in the texture of the skin becomes thinner and paler and can also arise large pigment spots (called age spots or lentigos) are generally found in areas of the body that are often exposed to direct sunlight.

Well, here are some other signs if the skin begins to 'old', among them:

1. Weakens

Along with the weakening of the collagen and elastin fibers, loss of muscle mass and fat tissue, and the effects of gravitational pull, of course, it is not surprising if your skin starts to slacken and even into pockets. For example the eyelids, eyebrows, folds around the mouth, and neck.

2. Elastosis

It is caused by sun exposure can cause damage to the skin. This condition is usually characterized by skin color changes to yellow, small lumps of yellow or white, as well as the deterioration of the texture of the skin especially on the face below the eyes, upper lip, and cheek.

3. The appearance of dark spots

In addition to the above cause changes TSB, age accompanied by exposure to sunlight causes the appearance of brown spots on the face that is often referred to as plaque.

4. Wrinkles

When you have more advanced age, the skin produces fewer lipids with a decreased ability cell regeneration. Skin moisture would be decreased up to 10 percent per decade. Coupled with decreased production of collagen and elastin fibers depletion, which causes the appearance of fine lines and gris-rough on the face and neck.

Although the aging of the facial skin is inevitable with age, but you can protect the skin from things that can cause premature aging due to various factors. For example, by using a good quality sunscreen when out of the house, so the skin is not directly exposed to sunlight.
In addition, maintaining skin moisture with any face cream is recommended, but not excessive. (AM)
